| “The adventure of Le Prince Jardinier began in Touraine, a few years ago, when I fell under the spell of the La Bourdaisière, an ancient chateau tucked away between the Loire and the Cher. The once splendid gardens were now almost abandoned. I devoted myself to repairing their former glory. But the further I got, the more I regretted not being able to find a range of gardening equipment of proper quality. I saw that I had to create a range of gardening tools and clothing worthy of the beautiful art of gardening. So, was born the trademark Le Prince Jardinier, a collection of hand-made tools and clothing in natural fibers - objects to look at and to use.
Gardening is more than a country occupation: it is in effect an expression of the art of living. Today, La Bourdaisière gardens are regaining their ancient beauty. I am happy to see how many of our visitors, from all parts of the world, who come to see the tomato collection, are amazed by the diversity of the gardens and are anxious that it should all be preserved.”

Louis - Albert de Broglie, Prince Jardinier |
a prince
Louis Albert de Broglie has inherited from his illustrious family the prestigious title of “Prince” and a genealogical tree including marshals, writers, a President du Conseil (Prime Minister) and a Nobel Prize winner. As he walks in the garden of his castle in Touraine, he understands that his fate is tied to this land, which offers him an exceptional source of riches and happiness.
To share his passion and art of living, Louis Albert de Broglie founded the brand representing elegance in the Art of Gardening in 1995. He gave it his surname: “Le Prince Jardinier.”
His collections of tools and clothes reflect his taste for quality objects, luxurious materials and natural fibers.
a castle

In the heart of the garden of France, Le Prince Jardinier draws his inspiration from the magnificent alleys of the castle of la Bourdaisière. Along the road of the Loire wines, the beauty of Renaissance architecture and the kitchen garden from the XIXth century are an ideal setting for the brand consecrated to the art of living in the countryside.
the tools

Superb, well made tools
Inspired by traditional designs, they are strong, hardwearing, and beautiful: they can even be collected. Each has an exact purpose: scissors for cutting roses or shears for hedges, fruit-collecting, grafting, cutting out tomatoes... Made by craftsmen, who obey the traditions of quality, they will be treated with love by generation after generation.
